Everest Capital is a global investment advisory firm managing approximately $3.0 billion in investments through a family of hedge funds for institutional and high net worth clients worldwide. Everest’s clients include some of the world’s leading corporate and public pension funds, university endowments, charitable foundations and high net worth families. Since its founding in 1990, Everest Capital has invested globally using a multi-strategy approach, focusing on debt and equity securities as well as arbitrages and special situations in the U.S., Europe, Japan and emerging markets globally.

The Everest Capital group of companies employs 50 professionals and support staff who operate out of offices in Miami, Singapore, Shanghai, Bermuda and Geneva. The investment team consists of over 20 investment professionals who work closely together to uncover attractive investment opportunities across geographic regions and asset classes. Aligning their interests closely with those of their investors, Everest Capital’s investment professionals have the majority of their personally invested assets in the strategies they manage.

The team is as international as the firm’s portfolios, with the economic, social and cultural perspectives of 17 nationalities, 13 languages/dialects, and business experience from 34 countries. Members of the team have lived and invested around the world and are fluent in languages including Arabic, Cantonese, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Shanghainese and Spanish. Their combined research and investing expertise provide each of Everest’s strategies with a global investment perspective, which has helped Everest deliver superior performance over time.

Complementing Everest Capital’s investment team is a solid overall business infrastructure. Everest Capital has been SEC-registered since 2004 and has a robust institutional-quality infrastructure that meets international risk management and compliance standards. The firm’s back office and investor servicing professionals and support staff have extensive experience in their respective areas of expertise, contributing to the long-term success of the firm and positioning it for future growth.

Everest’s initial strategy, Everest Capital Global, has employed an opportunistic global macro strategy since its inception that combines top-down and bottom-up approaches to investing globally across geographical regions and asset classes. From this global foundation, Everest has launched a family of specialized global and regional strategies, which are available to both onshore and offshore investors in U.S. dollars, euros and yen.
