The firm is led by our Executive Committee, comprised of:

• Marko Dimitrijević, CFA, Everest Capital’s founder and Chief Investment Officer, who has over 31 years of experience in international investment management and research analysis. Prior to establishing Everest Capital in 1990, he was an analyst on Wall Street and managed large securities portfolios for a Fortune 500 company. A strong believer in conducting on the ground due diligence, he has traveled to more than 100 countries. Mr. Dimitrijevic is featured in the books Inside the House of Money and Investing with the Hedge Fund Giants.

• John M. Malloy, Jr., Director of Research, who has been at Everest Capital for over 16 years and has 21 years of experience in global investing and commodity, debt and equity research analysis. Prior to joining Everest Capital, Mr. Malloy was an investment manager at Baring Asset Management where he focused on Latin American and U.S. High Yield markets and worked at Fidelity Management and Research in its Special Situations Fund.

• Matthieu Vermersch, Director of Research and Head of Asia Operations, who has been at Everest Capital for over 14 years and has 26 years of experience in international investment management and investment banking with a concentration in Asian markets. Prior to joining Everest Capital, Mr. Vermersch was the head of Banque Paribas’ Asian proprietary equity and high yield arbitrage group in Hong Kong. He also worked at Banque Paribas in Taiwan, New York and Paris.

• Malcolm Stott ACA, Chief Operating Officer, who has been at Everest Capital for over 15 years and has 25 years of experience in international accounting and fund administration. Prior to joining Everest Capital, Mr. Stott was the Chief Financial Officer of Global Asset Management Limited and was a Chartered Accountant with Pannell Kerr Forster. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. 

• Tord Stallvik, Senior Managing Director, Head of Marketing and Business Development, who has 22 years of experience in asset management and investment banking. Prior to joining Everest Capital, Mr. Stallvik was Senior Managing Director and President at Protégé Partners. Prior to Protégé, he was a Principal and manager of an Asian joint venture at Pequot Capital and served as Director of Sales and Product Development of the firm’s global business.
